Dear Camp Meeting at Sea Friend:
Once again – the fourth time – we are planning a spectacular cruise to Alaska, but this time it’s the Northbound itinerary on the magnificent Millennium ship of Celebrity Cruise Lines. Please mark your calendars for June 1-8, 2012, or June 1-10 (tell you more about that in a minute).
This trip will be truly exciting for a number of reasons. We will embark from Vancouver, Canada, and continue with cruising the Inside Passage and then making stops in Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau and Skagway, cruising by Hubbard Glacier, and finally arriving in Seward/Anchorage. You may opt to fly home or stay for another exciting adventure! (That means you fly into Vancouver but out of Anchorage.)
On this cruise we’ll have the pleasure of hearing Derek Morris and Dwight Nelson, our main speakers. For a little variety and humor, Pete McLeod will be with us. For musicians we have Faith First, Gale Jones-Murphy, Adrian Pressley, Rudy Micelli, George Swanson, and one or two others yet to be confirmed. We have a special added feature – the Freedom Singers from Canada. Not only do they have terrific voices, but their story is unparalleled – their incredible escape from Romania. All in all, you’ll enjoy seven phenomenal concerts on this cruise.
Now for something we’ve never done before; you’re going to love it! Camp Meeting at Sea is partnering with Voice of Prophecy, North American Division, Adventist Media Center, Adventist Media Productions, Family Reunion Music, Alaska Conference, and the Quiet Hour for a final weekend extravaganza on Sabbath, June 9. The Voice of Prophecy is reaching out to all residents in Alaska. From now until the time we arrive they will contact every person in Alaska and invite each one to study the Bible. There will be training seminars to teach people in the churches how to work with the interests, culminating in a mass graduation in Anchorage on Sabbath, June 9. In the afternoon there will be a concert with our own Family Reunion Singers, not only for your enrichment, but for all of Alaska. How wonderful is that?! And that’s not all! Saturday evening we have plans (not definite yet but still in process) of launching our next Division-wide Net 2012 right there from Alaska!!
